Having friends in to watch the Oscars? Or maybe you’re headed out to a potluck? Here are a few ideas to make your party spectacular!
Act I – Red Carpet Appetizers
Wolfgang Puck has been cooking for the stars on Oscar night for seventeen years. Take a tip from his famous kitchen and start with tiny wedges of Greek Pizza with Spinach and Feta. Chef Puck will be serving smoked salmon, you can too. Add a little glamor with Smoked Salmon Mousse and Caviar. Don’t forget to put out a few nibblies. My Roasted Almonds and Spicy Olives will hit the mark.
Act II – The Main Event
Go luxe and traditional with Beef Tenderloin with a lovely red wine and mushroom sauce. Lemon Roasted Potatoes (for a bit of a change, substitute the lemon juice with two tablespoons of balsamic vinegar) and Asparagus with Walnuts.
Or spice it up a one-dish dinner. Either my Caribbean Fish Stew or Sort’a Like Jambalaya is sure to please. Add warm sourdough bread or ciabatta and a lovely salad of baby greens with any one of my classic Vinaigrettes and dinner is served.
Act III – A Star-Struck Finish
And for dessert? Chef Puck Why will be serving Lemon Cheesecake, you can too!
