Weekend Special – A Romantic May Day Picnic

Hooray! Hooray, the first of May …
… skinny dip season starts today.

Or something like that! Sunday is the first of May and the perfect day for a romantic picnic.

Whether you relax on the deck, beach or a sunny meadow, here are a few ideas for a festive picnic with that someone special.

.

Pack Your Basket:
Start with a lovely Antipasto Platter. Combine grilled vegetables with a few slices of sweet and salty prosciutto or spicy sausage and a chunk of your favorite cheese. And don’t forget the Tapenade. Swing by your favorite bakery for a great loaf of crusty country bread and your picnic is almost complete. Just add nice bottle of wine and enjoy a lazy afternoon in the sunshine.

When it’s time for something sweet, a handful of strawberries or grapes are sure to please. And a few Sweet Dream Bars will remind you that summer is on the way. Or maybe you’re overdue for a sweet trip to the ice cream stand!

Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the 1st of May! Bon appétit!
