Weekend Special – Super Bowl Sunday

Woot! Woot! The Patriots are going to the Super Bowl. From coast to coast and border to border, but especially in New England, people will gather for the big game. Some are die-hard football fans while others are just eager to check out the commercials.

It wouldn’t be a Super Bowl without a rowdy crowd of friends and family, a few beers and fabulous food. What’s on your Super Bowl Sunday menu? Looking for a little inspiration? A few ideas?

Here goes!

You can’t go wrong with salsa and chips. Especially if you take it up a notch with my Corn, Black Bean & Avocado Salsa. And don’t forget the Chicken Wings.

By half time, maybe before, you’ll be ready for the main event. How about Caribbean Black Beans? Serve them with Spicy Grilled Steak or Chicken and a spoonful of rice. Don’t want to do any last minute grilling? Try My Favorite Chicken & Black Beans Chili or Tex-Mex Beef & Beans. And yes, to answer the obvious, I much prefer black beans to pinto or kidney!

Serve it up with a crispy Caesar Salad or Crunchy Slaw .

And top it off with Mini Carrot Cupcakes. And don’t forget to tint the frosting red and blue for the Patriots!

Enjoy the game and bon appétit!
