Yes, it’s November … and New Hampshire is good at it. A little cold, a little snow, a little rain, a little wind and a little, very little, sun. Take advantage of the rays this weekend with one last bike ride or a hike. But get out early – the sun sets around 4:30 these days.
With these long, long evenings, what could be better than a movie marathon? Invite your best pals around for your favorite films and a few small plates.
A cup of soup and a few of your favorite appetizers sounds delicious on a chilly evening. For homey and elegant, give my Wild Mushroom Soup a try. If you’d like a bit of spice, pass around teacups or mugs of my Curried Eggplant Soup.
Pass a few nibblies to enjoy with the soup. Crostini, small toasts with yummy toppings, are a delicious choice. Try my latest creation, Sweet Potato & Goat Cheese Crostini. And who doesn’t like pizza’s upscale cousin, flatbread. My Flatbread with Mushrooms, Caramelized Onions & Spinach sounds good. Or maybe you’d like a trio of pâtés with Chicken Liver, White Beans and/or Smoked Salmon.
Have fun and bon appétit!
