Alrighty then. It’s the Super Bowl this Sunday. That’s when two groups of very large men spend several hours running. As I understand it, they are supposed to run up and down the freezing field and try to get the ball to one end or the other. In reality, they spend most of their time running into each other.
Meanwhile, Super Bowl Parties are in the works all over the United States. Fans are trying to install giant, new flatscreen televisions and multiple remotes. They’ll spend the next couple of days on hold with customer support, the cable company and/or their techno-savvy twenty-something kid. Not to mention the snack aisle in the supermarket, it hasn’t been this busy since the 4th of July.
So? What are you serving this Super Bowl Sunday? Or bringing along to the pot luck?
How about one (or all) of the classics? Or my updated or slightly twisted but still delicious version of the classics! Here’s a quick round-up:
Hoisin Chicken Wings
Flat Bread with Mushrooms, Caramelized Onions and Spinach
Greek Stuff Stuffed Mushrooms
Chips with Homemade Salsa and Guacamole or Black Bean, Corn & Avocado Salsa
Chili, Chili and more Chili
A Sweet Fourth Quarter with Brownies, Brownies and more Brownies
Have a great party and bon appétit!
