Yes, yes, I know, Guy Fawkes Night was Wednesday. It doesn’t matter. Celebrate it this weekend when you have a little more time. Invite friends and family to gather around a cozy fire … inside or out. Add some great food and drink for a terrific evening. A guitar or harmonica will only add to the fun.
Get this party and fire started! Load up the fire pit and gather friends and family for a fun night. Keep warm with lots of fleece and feathers … and some delicious Mulled Cider. On a cold night, instead of hors d’oeuvres pass around mugs of warm and wonderful soup. Try a fall favorite like Roasted Butternut Squash Soup or, for a bit of spice, Chipotle Sweet Potato Soup. For a bit of crunch, add a basket of Gorgonzola & Walnut Shortbread with Savory Fig Jam.
What’s next? Keep it cozy with Moroccan Spiced Vegetables & Chickpeas with Couscous. Think of it as Moroccan chili! Spicy and hearty, it’s great as a vegetarian main course or side dish for your carnivore friends. Feel try to light the grill and cook up some Quick & Easy Spicy Grilled Chicken. Or take it inside with a Roast Chicken.
Have a great weekend and bon appétit!
