Think Snow Weekend Special

PL_Snow_01Snow showers and flurries are in the forecast. Sounds good but, as a skier, I’d really like more than an inch or two. Thank goodness for snowmaking. Whether you are skiing, snowshoeing or shoveling the driveway this weekend, why not invite a few friends over for some wonderful soup.

How to start? Pop the cork on a bottle of wine and pass around pieces of delicious Savory Galette with Spinach, Mushrooms & Manchego. It’s so good you will be tempted to make two but save room for soup.

When you are ready for dinner, start with a great salad. For crunch try my Radicchio, Fennel, and Arugula Salad. For something a little different, you might  like my Roasted Cauliflower, Radicchio & Arugula Salad.

Next, enjoy a cozy bowl of soup. For both hearty and healthy, you can’t beat my White Bean Soup with Sweet Potato and Wilted Greens. maybe you’d prefer my Harira, with its roots in the Middle East, it’s a delicious, not-so-ordinary vegetable soup.

And dessert? It’s been a long, cold week, so how about a little chocolate? I’m pretty sure you can please all of the people all of the time with my Chocolate Mousse. For quick and easy, you can’t beat my Pot de Crème or Hot White Chocolate. (Both recipes double or triple easily for a crowd.)

Stay warm and dry. Bon appétit!
