It Feels like Spring Weekend Special

daffodils_april_10_03_editedThe ice is out of Pleasant Lake! Spring, or at least our local facsimile, has sprung. The daffodils in my front garden are about to pop. With any luck, they’ll be ruffling in a balmy spring breeze this weekend.

Assuming the raindrops stop between now and then, it will be a good weekend to work in the garden and wash the muck and salt off my car. Of course, you’ll want to find time to squeeze in a bike ride or a long walk. Dinner with friends would be nice as well.

Relax after a busy day or two. Start the evening with a taste of spring. How about Artichoke Leaves with Shrimp? Or some tasty Tapenade with fresh veggies. You choose!

Now … what’s for dinner? How about Grilled Swordfish with Chimichurri? Not ready to get the grill out of the garage? Try my Roasted Salmon with Beurre Blanc. Serve either fish with a spoonful of Israeli Couscous and Grilled or Roasted Asparagus.

When it’s time for something sweet, Mousse sounds both luscious and delicious. The maple sugaring season has just about ended. Celebrate the new crop with Maple Mousse with Apple Compote. Or think spring with citrus and Lemon Mousse. Sounds lovely!

Have a great weekend and bon appétit!

What’s up with you this weekend? I’d love to hear from you! Let’s get a conversation going
