What’s Up?

Reviews, Quotable Me & Cooking on Camera

I spend a lot of time in the kitchen and in front of the computer but throughout the year, I am Out & About sharing ideas, stories, recipes and tips.

The Press Is Talking about Live Free or Die, Die, Die! (The Hippo November 3, 2011) “And at home you can curl up with scary stories all winter long if you get a copy of Live Free or Die, Die, Die! Twisted Tales from the Criminal Minds of the Granite State, edited by Rick Broussard. It’s Volume 2 of the “New Hampshire Pulp Fiction” series from Plaidswede Press and it includes stories by Rob Azevedo, Brendan DuBois and many others, including Hippo associate publisher Dan Szczesny. They are not G-rated and not for the faint of heart. Favorite line so far: “His name was O’Neal. He’ll always be Detective Handsome to me. (from Murder on the Mountain by Susan Nye).” (I admit the emphasis is mine!)

Quotable Me:

I’m always happy to share ideas with other writers, recipe developers and their readers. Here are a few examples:

I share a fond Christmas Memory of shopping with my dad in the Huffington Post.

In Boston – X Marks the Spot, I give a few insights on Boston food traditions, treats and quirks on www.slashfood.com.

I offer a little cooking advice and reminisce about lazy summer mornings in The Breakfast Club on www.philly.com, website for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Sales and marketing executive turned writer and cook, I share my story with More Magazine In Good Company – Second Acts & Entrepreneurship.

German cooking doesn’t have to be heavy. I share a few ideas as well as a recipe for Beer Braised Sauerkraut and Sausages in Oktoberfest – Uber Light and Easy in Today’s Diet & Nutrition Magazine.

When it’s cold and snowy it’s time for hot chocolate. My opinionated take on hot chocolate plus a few recipes in Warmth in a Mug in the Hippo.

On air:

I make regular appearances on ABC affiliate WMUR’s Cook’s Corner, demonstrating seasonal dishes and sharing cooking tips.
